Evaluation of genetic structure of pistachio through whole genome resequencing

Pistachio (Pistacia vera L.) is the only edible and cultivated species. economically importance dioecious species in genus Pistacia. There are basic problems pistachio breeding such as flower structure, long juvenile period alternate bearing. These can be overcome not with classical methods, but modern molecular methods. In this study, very high numbers of single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP), insertion/deletion (InDel), structural variants (SV) copy number variation (CNV) were determined by using next generation sequencing data genotype obtained 15x coverage. A total 1,785,235 SNP, 260,683 InDel, 5,227 SV 1,914 CNV identified PvF217 genotype. The variant density was calculated one per 292 base. distribution to Siirt reference genome obtained. addition, all annotated exonic genomic described Annovar. will used consist a database for DNA fingerprinting, discovering unique cultivar specific alleles identify quantitative trait loci related important nut traits.
